Hawaii, with it’s warm climate, salty sea breezes and mineral rich volcanic soil produces some of the finest and most distinctive coffee beans on earth. Whether you like pure Kona coffee or one of its many blends, there will be a coffee bean that hits just the right spot amongst the rich flavors of Hawaiian coffee roasters.
Although some people mistakenly believe that all coffee from Hawaii is made from Kona beans, only beans that are grown in the Kona area of Hawaii can be given this label. Many coffee aficionados prefer to drink Kona because of its reputation as one of the world’s best coffees.
However, Kona has a robust flavor which is too strong for some people. It can also be quite expensive. Buying a Kona blend can be less costly and also gives a milder flavor. Of course, when you buy a package of Kona blend, you are getting a mixture of Kona beans and another type of coffee. Unless you have tasted the full flavor of gorgeous Hawaiian Kona coffee and already know that this dark rich coffee is not for you, then buy 100% Kona beans at east once. It is an excellent choice for anyone who enjoys a rich, dark coffee.
We also carry a great selection of coffee from other areas of Hawaii. If you like your coffee with added flavors, you might try hazelnut and macadamia, or perhaps chocolate which pairs extremely well with the richness of coffee. Or perhaps try an aromatic French Vanilla Flavored Kona, like the one from Aloha Island pictured below.
If you love Kona but find it a little expensive, then we can also suggest you try coffee bean wholesaler, Coffee Bean Direct. They do a good Kona blend at a very reasonable price. Lastly, if you are trying to avoid caffeine, you will find a good selection of decaff in our Hawaiian Roasters section.
